One of the great things that has happened recently is that schools are ringing up and asking "can the dome do ....?". Our usual response is "we'll have a go". This is the result of such a collaboration. Commissioned by a Liverpool Primary in January 2011 to go with their lessons about the Blitz of May 1941.

Children sit inside the dome and experience the bombers flying overhead. They then run into the cellar of the pub at the end of the road and hear the bombs dropping on the ground above whilst we talk about what it was like to be a child in WW2. Eventually, we emerge back onto the street to witness the damage caused by the bombs.

There are 2 versions of this presentation -

The primary difference between them is the discussion of the damage caused. We can adapt the presentation for your nearest 'blitzed' city.
